"Every year I watch this city come alive. The festival reminds us that beauty and community go hand in hand."

There are some memories that stay with you long after the day has passed.

I brought my daughter to her first Azalea Festival when she was three. I remember watching her take everything in—the flowers, the music, the people, and all the excitement of the day. At the time, I never imagined that this little family outing would become a tradition we would carry with us for years.

We kept coming back. Each year brought new memories, new moments, and another opportunity to enjoy the festival together. As my daughter grew older, those visits became a special part of our family story.

And then, almost before I knew it, she was grown and had a daughter of her own.

Now she's bringing her own daughter.

Seeing them experience the Azalea Festival together brings back so many memories of when my daughter was that little girl holding my hand. It is amazing how something as simple as a yearly tradition can connect generations and become part of the fabric of a family.

There is something special about knowing that a memory you created with your child can become a memory they create with theirs. Three generations, one festival, and a tradition that continues to bloom.
