Volunteer Opportunities

Join 500+ volunteers who make the NC Azalea Festival possible. Whether you have a few hours or
several days, we have opportunities to match your schedule and interests.

Available Volunteer Roles

Event Support Volunteers

Assist with festival events, guest services, information booths, and general attendee support.

Commitment 1-3 shifts
Shift Length 4-hour shifts

Garden Tour Guides

Lead groups through Airlie Gardens and other tour locations, sharing history and horticultural information.

Commitment 2-4 shifts
Shift Length 3-hour shifts

Stage & Entertainment Crew

Support stage setup, performer check-in, crowd management, and technical assistance at performance venues.

Commitment 2-5 shifts
Shift Length 5-hour shifts

Registration & Check-In

Manage participant registration, ticket scanning, wristband distribution, and entry management.

Commitment 1-2 shifts
Shift Length 4-hour shifts

Hospitality & VIP Services

Provide concierge services for VIP guests, special guests, and festival dignitaries.

Commitment 2-3 shifts
Shift Length 4-hour shifts

Youth Program Assistants

Support youth activities, art stations, kids zone, and educational programming.
